New Hairstyle...Not loving it...but it will grow

Hello there....

Just wanted to post a few cute videos from today of Jakob.

He went for his first haircut and cried at the beginning but then sorted himself out and was fine. I would have cried too had I known how "sub-par" it would be in the end. You can't tell from the photos, but there are so many pieces of long, random hair all over the place that did not get cut. I know the kid did not sit still, but...

I was also a little sad that the guy did not listen to my words "clean it up a bit, don't cut too much off." Instead, he just gave the "typical little boy haircut" to Jakob. Anyway - he is still so adorable and at least we won't have to go get it cut anytime soon (and certainly not there again).

The second video is from him eating lasagna tonight (which he LOVES). We normally don't let him go nuts at the table and get all messy (as we know he has been taught table manners), but he caught us off guard and then it was too funny to stop him.

Jakob is getting a bit better around the dogs, but has still not reached out to pet them. They are all "tolerating" each other at the moment. Praying they will be best buds soon as I love them all dearly.

Will post again when I have some news or photos to share.

Dear Courtney, Wayne and Jakob,

We're glad to know that you've had a safe journey back to Calgary. Despite all the exciting globe trotting you three have been enjoying lately, it must feel heavenly to finally be Home! There's just no place like it... Too bad the first haircut wasn't to your liking. Although Jakob still looks handsome on our computer screen, I trust Courtney's judgement on this one and hope this Jakob's hair grows fast! During the lasagna video, he reminds me of the younger brother in our favorite holiday movie, A Christmas Story, eating like a little "piggy" and shoving the plate right up to his face. Just needs to incorporate some SNORTING!
Keep having fun and give Jakob a bunch of smooches and squeezes from his Hollywood Kin...

All Our Love,
The Haydon-Wilsons

Courtney, Wayne, & Jakob,
This is why you need to keep posting - the photos are precious, but the videos are PRICELESS!! Just think, if you continue posting until Jakob is 18 yrs. old, you will have an entire electronic scrapbook.
I hated seeing Jakob so upset with his haircut experience, but he has such a cute face, even a bad haircut can't ruin that. I'm glad he is getting to eat as much as he wants and that it's not broth or stewed carrots. I'm confident that he and the dogs will be friends soon - remember, they are a man's best friend.
It is just so great to see you at home as a family - I know you are cherishing every moment with him. I can't wait to meet him!!
Love you,
Mom/Pam/Nana Pam
